Pick'em Games: The Team with the most points at the end of the year is the winner of that League, Each race week you will pick one Driver and recieve the same ponts award to the Driver from Nascar points results when the race is completed.. You can only use each Driver once per year.

Salary Cap Games: The Team with the most points at the end of the year is the winner of that league. Each week you will choose bewteen 2 and 10 drivers (This is choosen by each League). "VLR" Points are are the same as Nascar for each week for that weeks race. Driver Salary's are calculated "see 2.)" below.

Salary Cap Rules (Nextel Cup Series/Busch Series/Craftsmen TruckSeries)
1.) Each team owner starts out with $10,000,000 in drafting dollars. Each owner must purchase 8 drivers without exceeding the $10,000,000 total each week.

2.) Points are scored based upon the Nextel Cup point system. Official scoring will be taken from the Nascar online site. On the day of the race, we take the unofficial results from Nascar.com so we can have our results posted immediately after the race. The first official results that are posted on Nascar online (usually the day after the race) will be our Official Results. Once these results are posted our results are final! If Nascar changes the offical results later for any reason, our results will NOT be changed.

3.) Salary Cap Salary's are generated off the previous years final Standings Results for the first 1 race. Salary's will be updated to Nascar standings postions and VLR will calculate each Salary from the previous 1 scored race. Each week the Salary's and Standing Results will be update. Values are established based upon the results of their finish positions from prior races. A high finishing position (high meaning close to 1st place) will increase a driver's value. A low finish will decrease a driver's value. Drivers Salary

4.) The first Driver Value change will occur after race 3. Week 4 Driver Values will be based upon results from race 2. The same pattern will follow for the entire season.

5.) It is important to remember that after the first Driver Value changes are made (after race a) that some teams will be worth more and put your team over the $10,000,000 Salary Cap and others less.

6.) You may Change your Team by adding and dropping Drivers anytime during the week up until the dropping of the green flag for each race.

7.) You may change your entire race Team each week as long as you don't exceed the Salary Cap.

8.) You do not have to make any drivers changes if you are happy with your current team selections. The default is your last weeks Team, Unless the drivers salary has went up in cost and your team would be over the Salary Cap, If this happens you recieve the VLR Default calculated Team (Calculated by Salary and Standings Positions)

9.) If you feel a scoring error has been made, Contact email Click Here.

10.) On occasion, an unforeseen situation occurs that is not specifically spelled out in the rules. Virtual League Racing reserves the right to make a final decision should such a situation occur. The intent is to assure a level playing field for all competitors. A contingency rule has been established in case of a race cancellation or Internet failure.

Contingency Rules

In the event that a race is canceled and scheduled for a later date, the following rules will apply.

1) The next race in the schedule will be used for the canceled race. If the canceled race is in the 1st Half of a season and not rescheduled until the 2nd Half, we will move the entire schedule back 1 race so that both seasons will have 18 races. So the scheduled race 1 for the 2nd Half, would be race 18 in the 1st Half. The 2nd Half would start one week later than scheduled. Should a race be canceled and not rescheduled, the Half in which the canceled race occurred would be shortened by one race. The Weekly Prizes would be doubled for the next race to make up for the canceled race. The additional positions would be awarded prizes for the make up race only.

2) Driver Values from the canceled race will be used for the next race.

3.) Any trades made for the canceled race could be voided by using your reset button. If you want to keep the drivers that you had selected for the canceled race, nothing would have to be changed. If you made trades for the canceled race, you could not make additional trades without hitting the reset button. The reset button can be used anytime during the season to reset your team to the previous race. There is no limit to the times the reset button can be used for any race. If you try to make trades without resetting your team, you will receive an error message telling you that you do not have enough trades. Resetting your team will cure this error message.

*In case of Internet failure, the following rules will apply.

1.) With all of the problems on the Internet with hackers trying to shut down various sites, we have implemented a plan should this happen to us. We have our own server, as well as back up servers. Should one of them go down, we are quickly able to establish service. However, as all sites, we do rely on "upstream providers" who are the targets of the attacks. If they are hit, there is nothing we can do until they reestablish service. Therefore, should we be down on race day, and not on-line within 1/2 hour of the scheduled drop of the green flag, the race will be thrown out. Both Pick'em and Salary Cap Leagues, Full season would be shortened by 1 race.

2) Driver Salary's and Positions from the canceled race would be updated for the next race.

3.) Any trades made for the canceled race could be voided by using your reset button. If you want to keep the drivers that you had selected for the canceled race, nothing would have to be changed.
